Access Marketing was established in 1995 by Tim Taylor, who has spent his entire career operating advertising and marketing firms.
Today, Access Marketing has clients throughout the United States. We work with clients in a wide variety of industries, including, financial, manufacturing, retail, real estate, legal, casinos, medical and automotive.
Sharon Taylor is the agency's office manager and media director. Reaching the right consumer, at the right time, for the right cost is considered by many to be a real science, but in Sharon's hands it becomes an art. She approaches media planning and buying from both a creative and investment perspective, with a focused approach:
• Start with sound marketing objectives & strategies
• Translate them to actionable media objectives & strategies
• Refine the target while searching for insights
• Apply relevant research
• Assess the best media vehicles available
• Add creativity at every stage of the process
• Develop the best media plan that maximizes the overall success of the campaign within the given budget.
Prior to joining Access Marketing, Sharon directed the purchasing department of a convenience store corporation.
As Director of Media, Sharon Taylor is in charge of creating and implementing strategic media plans for all Access Marketing clients.
As president of the agency, Tim's main responsibility is to never lose sight of our number one job ... making money for our clients. If we don't do that, nothing else counts. He came to that compelling point of view through a career in agency, media and marketing.
Taylor is a life-long marketing professional. Tim established his first marketing business after attending Black Hills State University while working for one of the Midwest region's top rated radio stations. His first company provided marketing services to concert promoters nationwide. He left radio to establish his first advertising agency in 1977. Several years later he founded Taylor Broadcasting, Inc., which owned and operated KARR Radio in Montana. In a move to the Los Angeles area he founded AVICOM, a corporate marketing communications company serving dozens of large corporations and financial institutions in B2B marketing.
Desiring to return to the Black Hills, Tim sold AVICOM and took a position on the senior management team of a regional credit union organization. Here, he specialized in financial marketing. In 1995, Taylor founded Access Marketing Communications, Inc. and serves as its president and CEO.
Intuition and accuracy are probably two of Cheryl's best attributes. The ability to look at something and have a dead-on assessment of whether it is right or wrong, whether it will work or not. Cheryl is a principal in the agency and responsible for the firm's record keeping.
She started in the record keeping department of a large, regional wholesale company following college at the University of South Dakota. Cheryl spent several years with Preferred Risk Life Insurance Company in their record keeping department. When Tim started his first advertising agency in 1977, Cheryl took on record keeping responsibilities and has been CFO and bookkeeper for their business ventures since.
Today, Cheryl's innate understanding of numbers and her dead-on accuracy helps keep the firm's finances in complete balance while working with clients, media and vendors throughout the country, and with the various governmental agencies who monitor us.
As Executive Vice President, Cheryl plays a major role in the growth and operation of Access Marketing Communications, Inc.
As director of client services, Maureen's job is to be a great listener, strategic thinker, and problem solver. Maureen orchestrates the agency team to provide the best work for our clients. She anticipates clients' needs, keeps the client informed and carefully safeguards the budget while providing the agency team with the insights and information to create breakthrough work.
Prior to joining Access Marketing, Maureen was an Account Executive with a major television network affiliate. In a past life, she was general manager of one of the region's largest apartment/condominium complexes, where she was responsible for all aspects of its operation and maintenance.
In 2006, Maureen joined Access Marketing and contributed strongly to the agency's growth bringing many new clients onboard and helping create a broader regional familiarity to the firm. Today she is the agency's new business hunter and is primarily responsible for new business development.
Cynthia brings to the team work environment and customer service, a culmination of experience that is deep rooted in the qualities and values of her artistic Scottish heritage. Attentive, practical, professional and creative best describe a few of Cynthia’s attributes and qualities.
A graduate of Syracuse University, New York with a BFA in Illustration, Cynthia has since gone on as an enterprising graphic designer and entrepreneur. Also as an accomplished artist and illustrator, Cynthia has merged and applied principals of meeting customer needs with artistic creativity through state of the art processes of Website design and Flash Animation.
To her credit are satisfied customers who utilize her concepts and designs in their websites, brochures, trade show booths, newsletters, book covers and advertisements.
After designing from coast to coast JC comes to South Dakota to take in yet another style of design in the great midwest, bringing to the company an advanced knowledge of technical trends and design.
As an ex-freelance designer he is no stranger to shaking hands and exceeding the clients expectations for excellent quality and design. Wrapped up in this character are the abilities of Graphic Design, Video Production, and Web Development in one package. With degrees in Visual Communications and Printing, JC uses all the technical and artistic knowledge in his arsenal to achieve the best result creatively and functionally, spearheading any project available to him.
All these talents aside JC always looks for new and innovative way to solve every day designs, bringing a great level of versatility to Access.
